# Can I import my contacts from another tool?

Yes — as a CSV. Open Opted out from the menu under your initials and press Import a list (it is also a tab on the Broadcast page). Choose the file — up to 5,000 rows, 2 MB, column names in the first row — say which column holds the number, the name, the marketing consent with where it came from and when, a note, and who has opted out, check the first five rows, then confirm. Contacts are added or updated, nothing is ever deleted, and nobody is messaged: an opted-out row simply goes on your opted-out list. A consent is recorded only when its row also says where it came from and when; the rest are added as contacts without consent. Skipped rows are listed with the reason and can be downloaded. Message history is not imported. It needs a role that can manage contacts.
