# What are Meta’s main rules, and why does my quality rating matter?

Write first only with an approved template and only to people who expect to hear from you; marketing needs the customer’s agreement, must respect a STOP and should not go out at night. Meta rates every number by how customers react — blocks and spam reports lower it, and a low rating limits how many conversations the number can start.
