WhatsApp error codes, explained
When WhatsApp does not deliver a message, Meta returns a numbered error code. GoPromoteNow shows the reason in plain words under the message, and this page lists every code it explains, with what the code means and what to do about it. Find your code below and open its answer.

Every code, in order
Each row gives Meta's code, the plain sentence the inbox shows under a message that was not delivered, and a link to the full answer. Some answers cover two codes that mean the same thing to you, such as a number that is not on WhatsApp, so the same answer appears twice.

What to check first
Most failures come down to three things: the customer's 24-hour window had closed, the number is wrong or not on WhatsApp, or a template's values do not match its blanks. Check those before anything else; for a problem with the number's connection to Meta, write to us and our team fixes it.
