Security and privacy for your WhatsApp conversations

Your conversations are seen only by the people you invite, and each can do only what their role allows. Message text can be stored encrypted with a key for your workspace alone, attachments are kept in private storage, every connection is encrypted, and you can sign out any device from anywhere.

Who can see your messages

The people you invite to your workspace, and nobody else. Workspaces cannot see each other's conversations, every request is checked against your membership at that moment, and removing someone stops their access on their very next action. Messages pass through Meta on their way to and from customers, as for anyone using WhatsApp.

Encryption, item by item

Security in the app shows four things under Encryption, each with its state today. Message text is encrypted before it is stored once it is switched on for your workspace; attachments sit in private storage behind short-lived links; everything travels over encrypted connections; and the keys that connect your number are never shown.

Devices and support access

Security lists every browser your account is signed in on; sign one out and it is refused on its very next action. Our support team can only look through a single-use, read-only session that cannot reply or change anything, expires by itself and is recorded on your workspace's timeline.

Your data, your decision

Your number is yours: if you stop using us we disconnect it, and you can take it elsewhere or back to the WhatsApp app. Ask us and we export your conversations for you, or delete your conversation history; every workspace member accepts the terms for themselves before the inbox opens.

Trust and security in full
